Roadmap
Ravady boots a real kernel and WebNative desktop, but it is not yet an everyday-usable release. The active RC 3.0 program is closing real networking, application, hardware, and evidence gates; ideas outside that program are not a current roadmap.
Cross-Platform Hosts
Ravady currently targets x86_64, aarch64, and riscv64 from one product tree, with QEMU as the repeatable lab environment and selected physical hardware as validation targets. Android, WebAssembly, Win32, and Linux-hosted products are not part of the current architecture.
GPU Acceleration
Current builds render through a software framebuffer pipeline (gamma-correct alpha blending, ordered dithering, anti-aliased TrueType text). A real GPU driver and hardware-accelerated rendering path are future work.
Git / npm Tooling
Current builds contain the WebNative canvas API, RelScript transpiler,
capability sandbox, and QKeyFS persistence. Familiar developer tools — a
rav CLI, git, and npm
package interop — are not complete product capabilities.
Per-App Resource Limits
Current builds include a deny-by-default capability sandbox (filesystem, network, webnative, per-app manifest permissions). Per-app CPU and memory quotas on top of that capability model are planned for a later release.
Ravady is not yet an everyday-usable release. The native boot, kernel, WebNative
desktop, QKeyFS, sandbox, and shipped .rel
apps are real but remain subject to the repository's active release gates.
